| Description: | AgriHit™ is a new generation anti-bacterial sanitizer/disinfectant derived from natural and organic ingredients. AgriHit™ is manufactured from specially ed bioflavonoids and organic acids derived from vegetables and fruit. It is a broad spectrum natural anti-bacteria sanitizer that can be used in a wide range of industries including food processing, pharmaceutical, water treatment, catering, medical, agriculture, livestock and many other applications. When used for sanitizing benches, equipment etc, this powerful agent destroys any bacteria that is present while leaving a food safe, non toxic residue that keeps bacteria from multiplying. AgriHit™ is 100% Natural. All ingredients are USA FDA GRAS listed. AgriHit™ is perfectly safe to use around or on food. For example, it is extensively used to wash apples and pears prior to packing in. How it works: AgriHit™ is a non toxic organic ment for chlorine. It does not poison the organism but acts mechanistically by destroying the cellular membrane of a micro-organism (cell wall intrusion). The efficacy of AgriHit™ is due to the unique blend of bioflavonoids and organic acids included in the formulation. All ingredients are carried in a food safe naturally derived glycerine solvent which makes the active ingredients infinitely soluble in water. Toxicity: AgriHit™ is not toxic to humans, plants or animals. Unlike many sanitizers, AgriHit™ is not washed from the surface it has sanitized. It is left on the surface and continues to sanitize until the bacteria/pathogen loading exceeds the volume of AgriHit™ present. Other sanitizers and disinfectants must be washed away after use. This means they the bacteria, sterilize the surface and are washed away, leaving the surface ready for the next bacteria to arrive. It is food contact safe and non-hazardous if it enters waterways. Features: Is a wholly natural organic product. Has a broad-spectrum anti-microbial activity, which works against bacteria, (gram positive and gram negative). Is non-mutagenic, non-carcinogenic, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-tainting, non-volatile. Has extended action (residual effect). Has the ability to break down biofilm. Is effective even in the presence of organic matter. Its mechanism of action is by the destruction of the cell wall. Stable at pH levels from 2 to 12 and temperatures up to 60oC. Non-corrosive. Does not attack metal and does not affect other materials. Retains it’s stability when exposed to light. Any change in colour of the product does not affect it’s efficiency. Does not taint food when used at manufacturers recommended concentrations. Effectiveness: AgriHit™ will 99.99% of bacteria between to 107 and 108 within 10 minutes. This equates to a 7-8 log reduction or 10,000,000 - 100,000,000 + bacteria. Very low levels of some bacteria such as Salmonella (less than 20) can cause extreme food poisoning. Larger numbers are required to cause food poisoning for other bacteria such as Listeria Monocytogenes (up to 10,000). | |
